The Little Dipper understands how important it is to treat your personal information with respect and care. We will never share any of your private information with anyone for any reason. Your address and order information is collected by the Little Dipper to process your orders, ensure the best in customer service and if you so choose, keep you informed of special offers and Little Dipper news. When you are ready to enter your credit card information, you will be redirected to Moneris's fully hosted secure pay page. Once your card has been approved using their secure process, you will be redirected back to the Little Dipper's shopping cart to complete your order. This is done with your security in mind. We utilize well known and trusted payment gateways, Moneris E-select and PayPal, both are equipped with the most up to date, secure technology to process your payments. We work hard to ensure that your shopping experience is not only enjoyable, but safe and secure.
Ordering
The best and fastest way to place your order with The Little Dipper is online through our secure shopping cart, you can however, also call 709-896-8572 to place an order over the phone. We accept VISA, Mastercard, PayPal Money orders, or Cash if the order is being picked up.
To reduce paper usage and save a tree, you will be emailed an electronic invoice. This is your official invoice, you will not receive a paper copy with your order. You can also view your invoice anytime on our website through your customer account. If you require a paper invoice please Contact us at the time of your order and we will include it with your shipment.
Shipping
Shipping is based on your order total and the package destination. To maintain reasonable shipping costs and provide you with continued savings and the best in customer service, we have established flat-rate shipping estimates, so you know what to expect. All quoted shipping prices include taxes, insurance and tracking. Orders are shipped Canada Post expedited and a tracking number will be emailed to you once the package has been shipped. For certain remote areas of Canada or for the shipment of very large or heavy items additional shipping charges may apply. If there are to be any additional shipping charges we will contact you by email or phone before shipping the order, at which time you can approve the actual shipping cost or choose to cancel the order. Additional shipping charges will be billed and invoiced separately after the initial order charge.
For all in-stock items you can expect your order to ship within 2 business days. Out of stock items are indicated online, you can email us or call to get an estimated time of arrival. If an item is out of stock or we require some additional information to ship your order you will be contacted within 2 business days via email or phone.
If you would prefer to have your order shipped Canada Post Xpresspost or by UPS please call or email for a quote, or put your request in the comment section while checking out. We will contact you for approval on the shipping cost adjustments before shipping, upon approval you will be invoiced separately for any additional shipping charges.
If you reside in the local area, the default option is to pick up your order. We will contact you by email or phone to arrange a pick-up time as soon as we receive your order. If you live in the local area and would prefer to have your order shipped please contact us by phone or email, or put your request in the comment section while checking out. We will contact you with a shipping quote and upon your approval, you will be billed separately for shipping costs. You can expect your order to ship within 2 business days. Delivery is available in the local area for a nominal fee of $1.50, please note, that delivery services are only offered within the Goose Bay area. Please include your street address when placing your order and specify preferred delivery date and time in the comments section.
Packaging
We believe that enjoying the outdoors also comes with a responsibility to conserve and protect it as well. At the Little Dipper we are constantly looking for ways to think green and reduce our footprint on the environment. Reusing packaging material and reducing waste as much as possible are some of the ways that we achieve that. Where we can we reuse clean, sturdy cardboard boxes and make use of a variety of materials to safely package up your order. You will also find that we do not print off a paper copy of your invoice to include with your shipment. You will be mailed your official invoice for your order, or you can view it at any time through your online account at The Little Dipper. If you have any concerns about this and would prefer new packaging material, or a printed invoice please Contact us at the time of your order to make your request.
Returns
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. All returned or exchanged products must be in new, unwashed, unused condition with tags or packaging attached, where applicable. Used, soiled, washed or unpackaged products will not be accepted for exchanges or returns. After 30 days all sales are final. Return shipping to the Little Dipper for all is returns is non-refundable and is the responsibility of the customer. A 15% re-stocking fee applies to all returns, to help cover the cost of credit card fees, packaging costs and staffing requirements. We will however, pay the return shipping costs and removed the re-stocking fee, of course, if the return is the result of an error on our behalf or a manufacturer defect. It is important to carefully inspect your order immediately upon receiving it for any flaws or defects, once an item has been used in any way, it can no longer be returned. Please note that an incorrect order kept by a customer for more than 30 days can no longer be returned.
Refunds must be requested by email at info@thelittledipper.ca or by phone at 709-896-8572. You should expect your refund within four weeks of giving your package to a return shipper, however in many cases you will receive your refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time to receive your order from the shipper (5 - 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 - 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 - 10 business days).
Order Cancellations
Once your order has been placed with The Little Dipper, processing begins immediately. Any canceled orders will be charged a 5% restocking fee. If you wish to make any changes to your order please contact The Little Dipper immediately. Once an order has been packaged / shipped any changes or cancellations must be treated as a return and the standard 15% restocking fee applies.
