It is said that necessity is the mother of invention, but in this case invention came out of a mother’s necessity.
Ten years ago, faced with the prospect of taking her three toddlers out in public, Nancy Vardalos Ginakes began searching for a safety system that would preserve their dignity while offering her the peace of mind that they couldn’t wander off. Save for some adaptations of pet leashes, she couldn’t find an appropriate device. Like most inventions, an unfulfilled need is an opportunity to make a difference. In this case, she created my own harness concealed in a kiddie karacter backpack.
